Deep inside the hull there was a long narrow swimming pool. It was longitudinous with the keel, so every time the ship rocked, the water in the long pool formed a 15 foot tall wave that went the length of the pool.
To me, this was the most exciting experience I ever had. I was a good swimmer, so it did not scare me. I thought is was extremely funny watching the grown-up bob up and down with the wave.
They left us in the pool and did not take us out.
It was memorable.
