The Pentagon extends several stories below ground. About 8. The bottom 3 are one huge room. The floor allows 3 brigades to march at the same time. I got there by accident. Took a tiny spiral stair, hundreds of steps down, then saw it. It was by pure accident. The door to those stairs was well hidden. I had an “all access” pass signed by VP Cheney, so I broke no law. But I did get some pretty amazing access.
