If Hot Fusion Energy Becomes Practical It Will Mitigate Climate Change Down To a Non-Issue.

Hot Fusion appears to be credible. Ignition and Containment are the two main issues. Ignition depends of multiple high energy lasers all focused on a small volume of hydrogen.

Containment depends on high gauss torus shaped magnetic plasma containers.

Practicality depends on being able to get more work-energy out of the system than the energy required to ignite, contain, and run the system.

Hot fusion will require a national concerted program to make it happen with major investment, and huge amounts of recruited talent.

Amazon-Helios is on it. And Bezos is a very skilled executive. So the guy that brought you Amazon, may also bring you hot fusion, and the cure for the Climate Change Issue.

Help from Elon Musk would be excellent. Elon is a very skilled engineer. He has made wonders happen. He could be a major partner for Amazon-Helios (Bezos).

There are other possible answers to the climate issue. Geothermal, tidal, and solar/wind/renewable energy. Radical conservation. Efficient public transit (light rail).
And wheeling power across nations with energy spines.
