100% Support for Pete Hegseth

The War Department is not the right place for experimental Woke Values Philosophy.

Pete is SECDEF SO THAT he can say that, and he did.

Instead of an abstruce attack on Wokeness at DOD, Pete put emphasis on being feared Warfighters.

I was very early among Senior Counsellors to say that Pete would be OK.

He is OK. And putting his values out there is the right thing to do.

It’s what a leader does.

All of Trumps picks hold their views quite strongly.

DOD is not a place where moral philosophy is much talked about.

But Wokeness brought DOD way out of line with its mission.

The mission is to KILL THE FOE if called upon to do that, and in the meantime, be READY TO DO THAT.

Not larded down with Wokesters who want to use DOD for ideology and social experiments.

Pete talked about fat Generals. Most of the 3 and 4 star people in that room were not fat.

I was marginally OK as a PTer my own self. I did the 2 mile run in under 17 minutes.

My rope climbing was way better than any other JAG.

My pull ups and sit ups were OK.

Navy knew I wanted to kill the foe, so I was assigned to advise a SEAL team.

They appreciated my experience with high explosives.

They took me along as an observer on training exercises.

They did what I said they should do —- Stop the Benny Hill salutes to Senior Officers, stop walking around in flip flops with Hawaiian shirts. Act better. Don’t get me in trouble.

They appreciated the fact that I got them work. When Katyushas were coming over the fence, I got the Team together, and said “I wish that was not happening”.

They knew what that meant. They knew I was on the staff of COMUSNAVPHIL. They took care of business. The Admiral did not want to know things he did not need to know. So, he was not briefed until the problem was gone (buried in the jungle). He was a fighter pilot so he knew warfighting. He had the Navy Cross, and a Purple Heart.

I knew USA was going to lose Cubi, Subic, Clarke, and Henderson. I was very close to the legal/political community of Philippine lawyers. I was trained as a diplomat.

I got the pee test judicially recognized as valid. That mattered because dopers were killing Navy morale and readiness. I had the right skills to make that happen.
