If it will take a Federal law to get the Federal government open and running again, then it will stay closed for the rest of 2025 at least.
Trump gets many of his objectives met by same Federal income with less Federal expenses (lower personnel costs).
As a business person, the shutdown is OK with Trump.
As a low tax low regulations person Trump is OK with the shutdown.
As a pugnacious person who never wants to lose, Trump will stand pat as long as the shutdown exists.
The effect on me, is slower patents.
The effect on you could be a less capable Nuclear Regulatory Commission — you think they gonna find XYZ/AOC airheads to replace the current NRC Commissioners.
Kids who cannot do basic math?
Who cannot write a sentence.
