Nothing from Nixon, Reagan, GW Bush, or Trump. What I got was their ear. I was Senior Counsellor, and I worked on the staff of the Nixon (vs McGovern) Campaign.

I provided very general ideas, not legislative text. 30,000 foot views. I had no clients. My backing was from persons with human values in their hearts.

They had the philos, for the anthropos.

Well yes, some were in the energy business.

I wrote a book on Clean Air, and they liked me.

Thought I should have the POTUS ear.

Nixon was very funny and we got along well.

None of those guys ever gave me a job, or an official position.

But they did what I suggested.

They took their cue from me.

They knew I was on the level.

Like a level, used to build a building.

They could make a house of good policy, by using me as a level.
