Agency vs Passive Mouse-Think

In 1945 we won WWII.

In 1954 we had strategic vision and citizens exercising agency over the fate and conduct of USA.

In 1975 the inflection point came and America began to move on a downward path rather than an upward path.

In 1976 the post war greatness ended, and we elected Jimmy Carter, who at that time was being advised by Joe Biden, the imbecile Marxist.

Joe Biden was elected President of USA and he opened the border and let 50 million foreign invaders swarm into USA.

The middle class lost a lot of employment opportunities, and chances to innovate, invent, and exercise agency over the policy decisions that decide the conduct of the Federal government.

The middle class became jobless, powerless, useless.

It got much smaller, and by 2025 we had 3% of the people owning 99% of the wealth, and 97% owning the remainder of the wealth (3%). So society today is unbalanced and unstable.

Now comes Elon Musk with his self-driving cars, based on AI, and his Optimus Project based on the same AI used in self-driving cars.

In 1954 persons on Park Avenue and Wall Street would have gone to the White House and told the President “NO!! do not allow that!!”

in 2025 there is nobody with agency who cares to speak up against Project Optimus. People are devoid of knowledge of history, vacant of care for what will happen, and have Mouse-Mind, and kind of silence caused by self-concern of the most narrow and banal sort.

Our nation faces a new labor source that will tear it apart, and nobody cares. We are going to be served by robots instead of our fellow citizens. The income will go to Musk instead of to 97% of our citizens.

The result will be a nation of passive economic slaves or it may be a violent Marxist Revolution that overthrows the Federal government to get rid of the bad policy.

Luddites were people who threw their wooden shoes into complex industrial machines that were taking away their jobs and replacing them on production lines. They attacked the machines to save their jobs and place in the economy.

There are 300 Americans alive today who are able to think. 30 care. 3 will do something. I will have zero impact on the situation we face. Musk will exercise all the agency that was once shared among 300 million US citizens. In the meantime, the citizens will be Mouse-Mind, which means they say nothing, do nothing and exercise no agency over what happens in USA.

I see this. I tell you. I am a non-person. I care. But I cannot affect what is about to unfold.

Plato talked about Philosopher Kings. What USA needs is leaders who have read the Great Books and have a clear grasp of human history. St. John’s College and a few other places supply such persons. The ones that are supplied are not part of strategic vision in USA because we have none of that now. So here is your Cassandra. Your Pythia. Your Nostradamos. Trying to save you, but there is deafness, disregard, and distraction — you have video games to play.
