No Common Ground with a Government in Shutdown. If you don’t want to exist, how can I agree with you?

Existence is a predicate for taking a position. If you have no existence (position) I cannot find common ground that I could share with you.

I want to agree with you, if I can but your non-existence makes that impossible.

There is no meeting of minds, when only one mind exists.

This may seem perplexingly complex.
