This Could Never Happen to You

Runaway inflation killed my buying power, so I was skipping meals to pay my rent.

The landlord said it could get more for my apartment than what I was paying.

They decided to put me out in January (ice and snow).

But, no worries.

Time does not apply to you, so you will not get old.

And inflation does not affect your dollars, so you won’t get poor.

And January is not freezing cold for you, so death is not an issue.

There’s nothing you could learn from what happened to me.

Except a lot.
