A nuclear howitzer with a range of 10 miles could hit the White House and Pentagon from 10 miles away. Combat air patrol would be scrambled, but could not stop the Howitzer before it got off 37 rounds.

The Haqquani network could obtain and operate such artillery. Iran or Venezuela could pay for it and provide the launch sites.
