War is terrible. So you don’t do it except as a last resort. Hitting Isfahan, and Basra, and Qum would make a big dangerous radioactive mess.

Hitting non-nuclear military assets would be OK but not very helpful.

USA would be vulnerable to all sorts pf counter-strikes and Iran is able to do many of them.

Including a ship that explodes in a USA port city.

A Balloon based EMP weapon 10 miles above a part of USA.

Various ways to take down the internet.

Various ways to take down the power grid in USA.

Various ways to tamper with food, water, and medications in USA.

War IS savage.

You don’t do it, except as a very last resort when you have no other choice.
