Cross-wind landings take huge amount of pilot skill. And you never know when that skill may be vitally needed.
A friend (J Paul Getty) created Emirates by befriending them. I knew Him when I was a child. He was truly a Giant of Love and Respect.
He made a deal with them to work with Getty Oil of California.
He also created the Getty Art Museum in California, and my mom may have helped.
He held the patent rights to a drilling bit that was by far the best on Earth.
It had three grinding heads that meshed together.
No other drill bit worked as well or could get as deep.
Getty also knew fluids — he was a wildcatter for awhile.
If you know your business, you can manage it well.
