Something You Will Like, and Another Thing Not Like So Much

The National Energy Spine which I invented in January 1992 (see Cost-Effective Ways to Comply with the New Clean Air Act) was designed to run coast to coast along the median strip of Route 80, about 10 feet underground.

This would have allowed almost every state to compete with all the other states to see whose Gigawatts are the cheapest.

The other thing it would have enabled was wheeling power from coast to coast, so solar and wind could be shipped across the nation from where/when they are best made to where/when they are most needed. Wheeling takes the cheapest made power and sells it at the highest payer locations. That is efficient. That is profit.

Never built. My political influence in 1992 was very low. My impact on science and engineering, not quite as low, but not enough to make the energy spine a reality. It would have enabled several dozen major power plants to close, be shut, and taken down. Big business did not like my idea.

Now here is something you will not like. Modern medicine, and extended education are anti-eugenic. They promote and allow the unfit to survive. They are like socialism. They give the not-better babies a chance to thrive and reproduce. At this moment you are choking back your urge to call be htlr. Very good, choke that back. Yes, I favor better babies, and wrote a book on it (see Amazon). No, I am not htlr, and very not happy to be called that. I want to like you. And you to like me. Even if some of my thoughts are perhaps not the same are your own.

Better babies are not an “option”. They are the knife edge between Sapiens existing as a species, and failing like 99.95% of all species have done. Eugenics is our destiny, or maybe ashes, your choice. Anyhow, knowing me, you know not to sass me to my face, if you ever want to see another of my posts, which I think you do.
