Clan Allen — Tartan worn by my great great great Grandmother who arrived in NYC in 1836 and in Los Angeles in 1849 as part of the Gold Rush to the Far West.

Allen and Wheeler were related. Jay Wheeler was the Head of the Half Circle G Ranch which covered most of what is now called East LA.

We had a big ranch so the 1917 Pandemic did not kill any of us. We are all listed in the 1910 Census. And we all survived the Spanish Flu.

Before modern treatments were possible, a lot of people died from that serious flu strain. Not us. We had a ranch, food, water, and did not have to go into town.

Juanita Wheeler married Ralph George. The Wheelers were a very established family. Ralph sold products from his motorcycle up and down the Coast Highway in California. Jay Wheeler was the Head of the Half Circle G Ranch. The family also owned property in San Fran, Carmel, and some Gold mines. Ralph was the German. Juanita and Jay were the Scottish. Juanita was the grand-daughter of Great Great Great Grand-Ma Allen.
