Alice is all about ordinary people one encounters — like the cards, the White Rabbit, the Dodo, The Doormouse, the Red Queen, etc.
Rubaiyat by contrast is all about the moral, metaphysical, and philosophical aspects of existence. It is about abstract values, and ethics, and existence as a human event (your own life).
These two books do not say the same thing, or the same kinds of things — but your life occurs among people and Alice can teach you that, and it has abstract and existential meaning and Rubaiyat teaches about that.
The 2 books are in English, and have pictures, and are short. 4 days or 40 years is about enough to get their drift.
My book on the Rubaiyat is on Amazon — Books by Robert Fenton Gary.
I aspire to write a book on Alice, her adventures underground, and with the Red Queen, and the White Rabbit.
Two Books Worth Reading — Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam (Fitzgerald Translation) and Alice in Wonderland
