The Pope Who Apologized and Admitted He’s Still Learning |

I am sort of a Christian in the same way that Mary Baker Eddy was. I do not think Jesus was God or the Son of God. I think he was a human being. A great teacher. A man who died while he was trying to teach. A man whose life was a work of art given up to convey the content of that art to the readers and witnesses. What happened is not clear to me. I did go to Bethlehem and stood at the spot where Jesus was born. I did walk the path that Jesus walked as he carried his cross to the place of his Crucifiction. The Pieta appears to show how things were after Jesus died. The gospels tell a different story. That three days later Jesus rose from the dead, spoke with the disciples, and then ascended to heaven. Mary Baker Eddy gives another perspective and one that is also inspiring and that we can take courage from.
