The asteroid appears to be rocky/ice but we do not know the exact mass of it. Assuming that it does not strike Earth, it could still cause large waves in the oceans on Earth if it contains high mass like Nickle Iron Silicates.

At its closest pass, 2026JH2 will be about 24% of the average distance between Earth and the moon, and about two and a half times the distance at which hundreds of geosynchronous satellites orbit
