Luck Was With Me Most of My Life.

I suffered no serious injury or illness as a child.

The first time I fully knew that I was mortal was in 1967 when I was bumped by a shark in the Chesapeake Bay.

In 1968 I knew it again after I jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet and my chute did not open for 3 seconds.

In 1969 in Cambodia I was barely out of there in time to avoid being a victim in the Killing Fields.

In 1972 when there were 450 applicants for every place in a lawschool, got into an ABA accredited lawschool and learned patents, copyrights and trademarks — it was in LA so those were huge topics there.

I got to handle all the atom bomb cases, and 20% of the nuclear reactor cases, including Three Mile Island.

The Navy Justice School admitted me, and I got certified as a Navy JAG in 1981.

The Cold War ended in 1989 and I got to retire from the Navy, and was given a medal by SECNAV.

My career after that hit a rough patch — I did not fit in well as an academic. Way too conservative to fit in well in academe. I had worked for Richard Nixon, and they hated me for that, and for not being a liberal.

I was able to get a patent US 10, 176, 661 B2 based on my particle physics skills and math.

It can be used to make bank bills and secure ID cards.

I want to sell that patent which expires in 2038. So far, no buyer has reached me at robert.gary@gmail.com

If a buyer does come forward, my path will be Delta to NYC, British Air to London, Swissair to Lausanne, Funiculaire to Gstaad, by foot to Wassengrat, and my chalet will be at around 11,000 feet. I will hear cowbells, and jodling. I will not try to run up flights of stairs, until I get used to the altitude. I do love to ski. Used to be a downhill racer. And skating, played hockey in prep school. I love USA, but I’m ready to go back to Switzerland, if it becomes affordable. If not, Spain or Malta would be fine.
