South Korea mobilizes more than 576 billion US dollars for four new chip fabs from Samsung and SK hynix — My comment —- If all humans depend 100% on AI, and no human ever relies on Actual Intelligence by the Use of Their Own Brain in their Own Head then robots run this planet. What else do they need to do to complete their conquest of Homo Sapiens Sapiens? Nothing? Then we are no longer the top species. That place is now held by bits of plastic with wires in them — HAL 9000, or R2D2 as you wish to call it. How a top species can “off” itself is truly a mystery. Has this ever happened on any other planet? I guess we could just listen and find out. A robot signal is likely to just be pi to 1000 places, in digital form, repeated forever, every few months. If this is detected by our very large array radio telescopes we may know that robots took over and replaced the top species on some other planet — so what’s happening here and now is normal, not the exception. It’s all very too bad. God could maybe try again after the Big Crunch and make another Big Bang and perhaps a universe with better prospects for intelligent life. The God Biz is frustrating, but He is patient. He’s got all the time there will ever be.
