Let the Land Save the People

USA could identify and select one high quality/low harm gold mining firm and then allow it to mine on ALL federal land. The split would be 30% of GOLD for the mining firm and 70% of the gold goes to USA (ingots at West Point). The ingots USA now has could be alloyed down into Gold/Titanium rounds with very strong designs that make shaving them, filing them, or clipping them impossible. The no-fake rounds could be GIVEN to worthy US citizens to fortify and improve their lives. It is not a sin or a crime for the US government to do something for worthy citizens of USA. Social safety net programs have existed since the 1930’s. So we know it’s OK for the government to help people. It seems like a very odd idea. But as one of my readers you are ready to consider it with an open mind. Good for you!
