My Little Town and Radon Protection

Radon emits alpha particles that cause cancer. Once a house is built on a piece of ground, if Radon is coming up from that ground, there is nothing you can do except tear down the house.

So in my little town, to build a house requires total up-earthing and de-stoning of all the ground under or even near the house. A lot of CASE and Caterpillar earth moving is required to get a permit to build. HUGE earth moving. HUGE expense. So town is great, houses are valuable, people are healthy, Regulation does some good here. Town grows a bit more slowly, but keeps growing. The Radon thing turned out to be good for my little town.
