Not That It Matters

Canada not USA will be the top nation of North America, and Chile not Venezuela, will be the top nation of South America. The parts of the old Soviet Union will vie with each other, (Ukraine and Russia) as will the parts of China before the breakup between PRC and Little China. The states in USA will vie with each other along economic and political lines. The world will be inhabited by people seeking shelter, food, employment, security, and peace. Global atomic war will not happen, but competing areas may have rare use of nuclear weapons (Israel/Iran, PRC/Taiwan). Mankind will not colonize other planets, but may build new nations on or under the sea. The shelter problem may become acute if older people fail to die when expected to. Finding places where they can live peacefully and happily will be an issue in coming years. Congress will slide down from unaware, to deep coma. Nobody will expect solutions to come from the Federal government. Some state Governors may become Regional leaders for area like The West Coast, New England, TX and FL, The Midwest, the Old South. This could mean about 5 major policy variants. Americans will still have choices about where to live and how to live. Communes and Special Values Communities will spring up and be popular. They could include Partnership Groups that are not physically co-located. They may even include corporations for secure stable living based on specific arrangements, rights, and duties.
