Better Babies, an Idea That Never Catches On.

An elderly billionaire could fund a foundation to inquire into how better babies might be attained, why people are not interested in that goal, and what benefits might flow to people are organizations that seek and participate in causing better babies to be born, raised and optimally handled. Could better babies run things better. Could they discover more, invent more, and manage better? What would it mean to have highly functional people live to 100? Robert Heinlein explored this idea in one of his novels. He concluded that mankind would gang up on the long-lived healthy smart strong better babies, when grown, and try to kill them.
