USA may not even end up as a “Badlands”. If disposal of bodies becomes impossible, and the water table is lethally contaminated, the land that is now called USA will become an uninhabitable Wasteland. It could take 1000 years to recover and become ready for settlement again. Maybe people from Italy or Norway could come here. Like before. The Vikings, or the Italian explorers.
