The best course going forward is US energy independence, not fixing up Iran or Hormuz.

We have huge amounts of oil, and gas which can be made into CNG. We don’t have expendable young people who could go to Iran and die there.

So, keep the young people, drill the oil, open ANRW, relax silly enviro-lunatic regulations, make investments in new wells 100% deductible in the years they are made, and work out ways to keep the prices at the pump down.

Stop trying to save the planet. No part of US law makes that your task or gives you those powers.

Find ways to quell enviro-whackjobs without harming them. Do not make them targets of public wrath. Deal with them using diplomacy. They may be nuts but many are in good faith. They do not seek to be subversives. They think they are saving the world. They do some harm, but do not seek to do harm. They are whackjobs. They are statistical inevitables. There will always be whackjobs. 350 million people is X number of whacky ones. They can be made less able to cause harm without any act of violence done to them. They could be re-located to Tierra del Fuego in Chile, along with some teachers.
