We Got Stupid. We are now seen as a threat to all mankind.

If USA is seen as stupid, cruel, and incompetent, our global costs will go way up. Our diplomacy will be feeble. Our enemies (Iran and North Korea) will gain 100 allies. Our words will cease to matter. Our actions will be opposed. USA will have the power of a tiny nation like Togo. But we have atom bombs. So we will be seen by mankind as a danger, not as a friend. A stupid incompetent brutal nation with atom bombs will be a challenge to all mankind. I was raised in Europe so my perspective may be informed by that experience. The Christa Pike thing would NEVER happen in Switzerland. They would use a guillotine and get the job done in 1 second with no pain and no story.
