Fitzgerald and Omar

The Ironic Mystery of Human Mortality has had 332,739 commentators, two of them serious — Omar Khayyam and his translator Edward Fitzgerald. My book on Omar is on Amazon.com. My own comments are incidental, but my paintings to illustrate the Rubai are good. The content of my paintings was largely created by Tajvidi a Persian man. The things that Plato and Aristotle had to say were fanciful. The things said by Lucretius Titus Carus are true but not helpful to how to deal with your situation. Camus is even more not helpful. Sartre is a bit better. And his points on how to live are worthy of thought.
