Goal 1977 to 1980 — To do trial and appellate law in the U.S. Federal Courts.
Outcome — Lead counsel in case for all servicemen exposed to radiation at the Nevada Test Site from 1951 till 1963; Lead counsel for the residents of the four counties surrounding the nuclear power plant accident at Three Mile Island.
Goal 1981 to 1984 — To do trial law as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps United States Navy.
Outcome — Decorated by the Secretary of the Navy John Lehman with the Navy Achievement Medal for handling a complex Court Martial Case of major importance to the Navy.
Goal 1985 to 1986 to attain a Master of Business Administration degree from as first tier national business school.
Outcome — Received MBA with distinction (Beta Gamma Sigma, National Honors Society) from The George Washington University.
Goal 1987 to 1989 to teach Business at a college
Outcome — Taught business at SUNY (Oneonta) and conducted a 10 week seminar with the English Department on The Laws by Plato.
Goal 1990 to 1999 to work in Washington DC as a lawyer and researcher
Outcome — Served as General Counsel and Researcher for The Rails to Trails Conservancy in Washington DC, and then wrote Cost-Effective Ways to Comply with the New Clean Air Act for Client Group One, and then worked on emergency evacuation planning for nuclear power plants at the Pennsylvania Institute for Clean Air.
Goal 2000 to 2004 to work on issues of national security in Washington as a pro bono public attorney and security advocate.
Outcome — Wrote The National Security Papers a book that contains the letters and presentations done in the course of the period from the attack on the USS Cole till the founding of the Department of Homeland Security.
Goal 2004 to 2019 to become a professional inventor and to obtain patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Outcome — US Patent US 10,176,661 B2 was issued on Jan 8, 2019; Method to Authenticate Value Documents or Items.
